Sojin Oh is a polymathic nail artist who translates organic phenomena, from natural wonders of the sea to the gastronomic, into sublime creations with consideration and a sense of humor. Sojin is a Korean immigrant, venturing to North America by herself at the ripe age of fifteen in pursuit of becoming self-made and successful enough to support her family back home. Her independent perspective has allowed her to ascend from humble means with integrity. Sojin’s aspirations landed her in Los Angeles where she climbed the ranks in creative production for top-tier fashion houses. However, her independence along with her creative, professional, and interpersonal zeal drove her to helm her own artistic project which birthed sojinails. Sojin’s personal history is essential to her approach in mastery of technique, creative ingenuity, and respectful and enjoyable interactions with collaborators and clients - interactions through which she has the pleasure of learning even more about herself. An adventurer, Sojin has a deep connection to the natural world. She has explored the manifold landscapes of South Korea and the Americas and brings this trailblazing sensibility to her craft - utilizing sculptural forms, glass art, and other unconventional practices and materials to take nail art, and her clients, to uncharted territories. With sojinails, Sojin hopes that her practice delivers as much of a therapeutic impact for others as it does for herself. Her works have been presented on a wide range of people: Björk, Rosalía, Billie Eilish, Rihanna, Kali Uchis, Lil Nas X, Kelsey Lu, Rina Sawayama, HANA, Lil Miquela, Tinashe, Kim Kardashian, Sophie, Chloe X Halle, Bebe Rexha, A$AP Ferg, Addison Rae, Clermont Twins, etc. She also has collaborated with Foundation Louis Vuitton, YSL Beauty, Wolfgang Tillmans, Donna Trope, Maisie Wilen, Eckhaus Latta, SKIMS, I-D, Vogue, Interview Magazine, Dazed, Office Magazine, Numéro, etc.
